Non-Believer or Arrogant…
In a recent interview with James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family, Carrie (Gets -Around -The -Talk- Circuit) Prejean said that, “She’s just doing this all for attention” “The devil was tempting her”.
Seriously?!
She went on to say that, “She creamed her pants thinking of all the attention she would get from making a controversial statement” “God was is in her head telling her to stick up for him.”
Wow…
So let me get this straight. This all powerful, all knowing, all good God needs little ol’ Carrie to stick up for him. She actually believes this.
So… either she doesn’t “really” believe in God, because if she did she’d think he could smite Hilton’s ass with the blink of an eye, or she’s EXTREMELY arrogant.
This is why religious ideas are so dangerous. People actually believe that they are on the side of a being that rules us all. It doesn’t matter what’s logical. It doesn’t matter what the other people feel about your comments or actions. It’s all about pleasing, (to quote dogma), “An intangible parent figure who shakes a finger at us from a thousand years ago and says, “Do it… Do it and I’ll fucking spank you!”
Way to be humble there Ms. Prejean :/
