Bigot Keeps Her Crown

In case you haven’t heard, the bigot beauty queen was allowed to keep her crown. Which I’m fine with actually. I think her personal views shouldn’t have any impact on her title.

Having said that, she’s still a horrible human being. I don’t understand how people can’t see that her religious views have made her a bigot. The irony of the whole thing is that religious people are supposed to be kind and loving to everyone. They preach this, but then don’t live it.

Let’s call this like it is. This is a girl desperate for attention. Pathetically desperate for attention. She’s loving every single minute of her “persecution”. What’s even more sleezy is that N.O.M. exploited the crap out of this girl to further their agenda.

Getting emotional at times, Prejean slammed her critics, saying the backlash she received “should not happen in America,” and that it “undermines her constitutional rights” which her grandfather — who she said served under General Patton in the Battle of the Bulge — fought for.

Are you serious? This is worse than when a politician kisses a baby, it’s sick. This is exploitation to it’s fullest. Not just of this mental midget but of her grandfather. If he were here, I bet he’d tell her to stop being a puppet for a bigoted group.

Still, she said that she forgave those who had spoken out against her over the past weeks.

“My faith requires forgiveness,” she said. “So I forgive everyone.”

Here’s the messed up part about religion… They don’t ever really forgive anyone. Perhaps it’s because whenever they wrong another person, instead of seeking that person’s forgiveness they just seek their imaginary friend’s forgiveness. It’s only a wonder that they don’t have any clue how to REALLY forgive someone. They forgive because they’re told to, not because they truly forgive the person (as if we should be seeking her forgiveness, try the other way around).

This is why an atheist’s morality is superior to that of a person who claims to draw their morals from the bible. If I do something good, it’s because I think that what I’m doing is good. When the religious person who gets their morals from the bible does something good, it’s because their trying to gain points. They didn’t really want to be good.

Video after the break of Shanna Moakler and Keith Lewis telling Ms. Prejean and N.O.M. how pathetic they are.

Miss California may not be the best poster child/woman for traditional marriage, her opinion is just that, an opinion; just as not believing in God is yours. Bigot, maybe. But, bigot might be a bit harsh for someone that stated it was merely her belief and initially (I did say, initially) she wasn't trying to impose her views on others, she answered a question. Again, maybe still bigot. The opportunity to express opposing views without significant fear of oppression keeps us in better balance than in previous eras or in other countries.

Yes, she had every right to make that opinion heard, I do not fault her for that. However, that view is a bigoted one. I roast her now because she claims to be one thing and then lives another. That seems to be the case with a lot of religious individuals.
